In 1983 sshe started teaching Aerobics in several Gymnasiums in Genova, showing tenacity and charism . These two peculiarities made her one of the Italian largest followers aerobic trainers

Between 1983 and 1987 she has become swimming instructor.

In 1989 she attended the National Aerobics Competition achieving the final competition.

In 1990/1991 she has become Aerobic Federal Instructor (F.I.A.), Technical Judge and National Aerobics Championship President of the Jury.

she usually attends each year the FITNESS NIGHT festival (Brescia,Italy).

In 1992 she has started arerobic master class throughout Italy : Rome, Reggio Emilia, Bolzano, Milan, Venice. Reggio Calabria, etc. etc.

In 1994 she won the "International Aerobics Trophy" in Chiasso making her way abroad and gaining wide popularity.
She has achieved a great success during her first journey in the United Stated where she usually goes to update her background and knowhow.

In 1995 she has created the "AEROFUNK FITNESS SCHOOL", with the aim to form real fitness instructors.
A large number of Aerofunk instructors receive a diploma, after a training period, working then in fitness centres in Italy. Today, they are over 400 ! In 1995 she traveled to Frankfurt working with "Studio 1". She has created her own FUNK GROUP choosing among the best funk athletes of her courses and performed with them throughout Italy and Europe.

In 1996, in cooperation with the "AEROBIC PROMOTION" of Bolzano , she has attended a course for aerobics trainers as presenter and examiner. She has been a presenter in Venezia and Padova at two important International Meetings with some other well-known "Star " Trainers. In Athens and Madrid she has attended the professional AEROBIC SEMINAR, where she has performed with a lot of success obtaining further invitations to Geneva and Munich.

In 1997, the AEROFUNK FITNESS SCHOOL is present in her three Aerobics Centres in Genova. In May she has been in Madrid with A.E.M.A carring out two master classes :"It's Fun...k " and "Aerogera "(Hi-Lo).
She has trained several athletes for Aerobic Competitions and with a very Funny Group called "Funky Frogs", she has holded many exibitions obtaining a great success in Italy and abroad.
During 1997, she has created her own fitness and sportswear ranges and in June, she is invited at the FITNESS FESTIVAL in Rimini where, as well as holding her personal Master class, she presents the "Aerofunk Fitness Wear".

In 1998 she has cooperated with BRACCO FARMACEUTICA S.p.A., representing their main sporting area products.

In 1999 she has attended the important SAINT TROPEZ CONVENTION which is followed by her presence in other countries.

In 2000, the worldwide known travel agency KUONI GASTALDI has chosen her to train their fitness instructors in Italy and abroad.

In 2001, she has hosted the first NATIONAL FITNESS CONVENTION in Genoa and Liguria, where a lot of people, crazy for the fitness and most of all for Paola Gera, has joined and had great time!!!

On November she has attended the most important asian convention ASIAFIT obtaining a great success
